CFC#3 Sea of Sirens
Calling all horror authors!
We are collecting terrifying tales of the sea for our newest installment in our successful horror anthology series 'Creature Feature Classics'. This time our anthology revolves around the siren: sometimes beautiful, sometimes deadly. Mysterious creatures that hide deep in the darkest depths of the oceans, as well as in the shallows of your local park lake. Known for luring you in with their sweet songs before revealing their true deadly intentions, the siren is a staple in creature horror.
We are looking for short stories between 3,000 - 7,000 words with your take on the siren. Make them gorgeous, make them hideous, make them attack from the sewers or the ocean, make them brutal or make them subtle and sinister. Most importantly, write something that you love! As always, we are not interested in exploitation or gore-fests. We want stories that linger in the mind long after the book is closed, tales that haunt and thrill.
Submission Guidelines: Please send manuscripts in doc. format, including your name, story title and a word count, as well as a cover letter and short author bio. Submit your stories to Snakebitebooks@gmail.com by the first of August(TBC).
